VOS ANNUAL ELECTION

IT IS ELECTION TIME!

Everyone eligible to vote, should have received their unique QR code for online voting. Each year, VOS has an election as the seats are staggered terms, meaning the council will ensure not everyone leaving the council all at once.

With our elections, we have to meet a certain number of votes for the election to meet ordinance requirements. This is called a quorum. Just as we need a certain amount of people to hold an Annual Meeting.

The programs, services, developments that the tribe manages and progresses toward - is managed by the Council, the election matters. Please be sure to vote. If you have an opinion on how you are being served as an enrolled VOS citizen, this time, every year - you should be casting your vote.

As enrolled tribal citizens, our engagement, questions, support and shared information/stories continue to help shape our continued growth and direction for who we are. Which, we should all be proud of.

If you prefer to vote in person, there will be one day in Nome at the office on August 9th to cast your vote in person between 830-430.

If your mailing address is up to date, you should have already received your absentee ballot and if your email is up to date, you should have received a qr code with a followup qr code on a postcard.

PLEASE CAST YOUR VOTE !!!!!!!

DON'T FORGET - TO JOIN US AT OUR ANNUAL MEETING ON SATURDAY AUGUST 10TH, 1 PM AT THE B&B
