MMIWG-MMIP EVENT MAY 5TH!

VOS is super excited to host another MMIWG event in Nome!

With the amazing turnout from October 10th, Indigenous Peoples Day we can only imagine just how amazing this MMIWG day will also turnout.

We’ve collected monetary donations from Kawerak, Inc., Norton Sound Health Corporation and American Seafoods ON TOP OF in-kind staff services from Kawerak and NSHC.

Come listen to our speakers, President Kirsten Timbers, President Melanie Bahnke and Lt. Governor Nancy Dahlstrom speak. Doors open to the public at 3 pm at Rec center, speakers will begin their remarks around 3:15.

For each potluck dish contributed - will automatically be entered for a $250 cash prize!

VOS staff will provide a spaghetti feed to supplement potluck, face painting, MMIP shirts for those that would like one, sign making - a LIVE PERFORMANCE from Witty Youngman https://wittyyoungman.bandcamp.com/track/forget-her-not who will be performing her original song- which can be found at the link.
