VOS is looking to send someone to a training related to retrofitting homes in Nome!!!! Who would be interested in taking a local course, paid by VOS' grant and then be hired as a summer laborer to help VOS in retrofitting homes in Nome?

Summer work would only be 3 months, working with a crew hired by VOS. The above mentioned course is just an example of a UAF NW campus course to take. They have a few options locally and we want to support the local education.

VOS has been awarded a DOW impact fund grant which will be to accomplish retrofitting activities for up to 10 homes for our VOS community in Nome. If you have had an energy assessment completed through our existing program with MSU/ISU, then we will be contacting you about the data collected from your home and ways we can implement retrofits for your home. Please continue to watch our announcements as we continue to develop our programs, to better serve you.

Please consider and reach out! We want to have in-house skill and grow to strengthen our community
