PRIORITY CLIMATE ACTION PLAN
VOS Environmental Dept. has partnered with Nome Eskimo Community, Native Village of Council, King Island Native Community and Nome Joint Utility Systems to develop a priority climate action plan with goals and steps to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions in the Nome Census area. This plan is one of two plans which will be developed under the Climate Pollution Reduction Grant Program through EPA . Please take a look at our first Plan. Forthcoming will be opportunity to provide input for the Comprehensive climate action plan, each tribal representative that participates on behalf of their tribe, will be provided a participant stipend for your time, input and feedback on how to progress toward mitigating greenhouse gas emissions.
